The Four Skis
Patrol
As in the ski patrol that watches the ski slopes. Our number one concern is the safety of our skiiers and snow-goers as skiing is a very dangerous sport. Our staff will always be on patrol for their safety.
Piste
Is French for a nicely groomed ski slope. We want our resort to exude quality in our standards and amenities.
Binding
The connection between the boot and the ski. We want to connect our guests, the boot, to our employee, the ski, in a positive and respectful manner.
White-Out
When it is snowing so much that you can't see anything in front of you. We want our resort to "white-out" the outside world to create an authentic skiing atmosphere.
The order of these Four Skis is very important; it is the order in which we value these qualities from most important to important. Patrol is our number one priority. Skiing is a very dangerous sport if the proper steps and precautions are not taken. Here at L'Avalanche we want to ensure our skiiers and snow-goers have an enjoyable time all while staying safe, and we look to our staff to ensure safe behavior and watch for any unsafe variables.
Next is Piste, which is high on our list.We want our resort to be above the rest, and an unforgettable experience. We vow to have the highest standards of our slopes and equipment to provide a getaway where people would come back to.
Binding is quite important, despite the placement on the list. We want our skiiers and snow-goers to connect with our staff and be able to walk up to a friendly face. Our staff is encouraged to reach out to our skiiers and snow-goers to make their experience the best one.
While White-Out is last on our list, we still value it greatly. L'Avalanche is like nothing in the area, and we want to create that alternate worldly feel, so that those who enter our resort feel as though they are not in Shreveport any more.
